About TechCrunch’s acquisition by AOL

As of everyone heard, #AOL group has acquired #Techcrunch. And as always with the boss, we do have clear explanation from him.

Still, this is quite a move for the industry, because TechCrunch is a first-class influencer, and also some form of authority in the field of new business and start-ups. Because, aside from the blog that made huge success, they also built a strong community based upon a number of local events in the US, that are now sometimes key for success inside Silicon Valley, that is.

So, let’s hope TechCrunch grows steadily, if it is backed by a huge corporation AND in the same “spirit” to gather people in each country of the world, I think they have a strong card to play right now.

If not, firing everyone like a robot, the news hub will die, but rebirth at other place anyway. That’s why for me, this acquisition is extremely fragile over time, and I don’t expect it other than dying without Mr Arrington.
