It’s no use to introduce www.2advanced.com, a US-based web-agency founded with its founder huge talent in Flash animations. Eric Jordan’s sure has a lot of creative talent. I wrote a paper in french about him at least 3 years ago, but it seems he sticked to his preferred style: matte-painting. And I wouldn’t blame him, he’s just so talented in it.
For those who have absolutely no idea about matte-painting meaning, it’s a technique originally used in movies to create illusions of background. To be more precise, people were painting on glass. Then they put the painted glass in the background of the movie to simulate a very rich environment.
Now with CG, it’s way easier and all changed, but the name stayed even if the technique changed a lot. Now a great designer like Eric can paint directly on his screen to produce this kind of artwork:

To give you an idea, in 2006 he produced the following CG, every image with a different breeze and inspiration:

Anyway, I’m still impressed by his talent. Not to mention that at the beginning, he won numerous awards for his Flash and animation art, not still images like these. And even if these menus are far from being his best production.
