This week’s common #email #mistakes

This week, let’s briefly comment some emailings together :

1. The old-school “full-image” email : Full-image emailings are extremely risky and will trash databases in the upcoming monthes (behavioral filtering will kill this kind of quick emails extracted from Photoshop in the next monthes, and that’s a good thing for the email marketing business). Worse, no “online version” link at email’s top.

2. Totally unsollicited email message, I never subscribed anything. Please notice the random “follow this link” (“suivez ce lien”) out of nowhere in the layout.

3. Personalized message in the subject line is nice, but lacking personalization given the data they could collect about me, this company could leverage for example, from what kind of music I have listened in the past 2 weeks to create a dynamic and more personalized subject line.

Please comment!
